Made in Cascadia
A recurring series created by lifestyle editor Cocoa Laney, assistant editor Audra Anderson and visual journalist Finn Wendt, Made in Cascadia highlights makers and artisans of the Pacific Northwest and shines a light on the processes that bring their products to market and the ethos behind their brands.

His cows live less than 50 feet from his creamery, and the grass they eat is grown less than 2.5 miles away. The family-owned farmstead's smoked provolone is the reigning world champion in its category at the prestigious World Championship Cheese Contest
Champlin Guitars
Perhaps Bellingham's most well-known luthier, Devin Champlin deals and repairs guitars from his cozy downtown storefront. Raised in Chicago, he took up the guitar at 10, then found a passion for woodworking. Studying at a school of luthierie was a simple progression from there. Outside of his day job, Champlin plays both solo and in his touring folk band Sons of Rainier – the man truly breathes guitars.
